Dear Narrow Bridge Candles community -
Thanks to all of you, Narrow Bridge Candles was able to donate a total of $1,309 in 2017 to organizations in struggle against U.S. and Israeli racism and colonization - $712 to Stop the JNF Campaign, $347 to Iser Caribe, and $250 to Black Lives Matter Charlottesville.
The struggle against the Jewish National Fund (JNF) - and other colonizers - continues. Two weeks ago on Tu B'Shvat (the Jewish New Year of the trees), activists barricaded the JNF headquarters in Jerusalem for its role in evicting a Palestinian family from their home - one piece in the larger picture of the 100+ years of displacement and colonization carried out by the JNF.
If you are interested in learning more about the foundational role that the Jewish National Fund has played in the colonization of Palestine, and their ongoing colonizing work, one idea of a place to start is by watching the film Enduring Roots made by Alex Safron and the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network- footage from a 2013 International Stop the JNF Campaign Delegation.
With your help, Narrow Bridge Candles will continue to materially support struggles against racism and colonization in U.S., in Palestine and around the world. Stay tuned for announcements about what organizations will receive donations in 2018.

Puerto Rico Fundraiser
A group of women in Maricao, a town in the central mountains of Puerto Rico holding solar lanterns and toiletries, paid for in part by our donation. As a result of Hurricane Maria, the town lost 100% of its crops - mostly coffee, bananas and citrus - and will not have power restored for at least another 2 years.
