10 Principles of Disability Justice Illustrated Postcard Set
"This set of 10 postcards was created as part of a process of grieving. cherry kaufman was inspired to paint them in the wake of the death of Patty Berne in the late spring of 2025. Patty’s death is one loss among the loss of many other disabled oracles and community members within just the past 6 years of an ongoing mass disabling pandemic and multiple ongoing genocides.
Less than a year after Patty passed, and before all 10 paintings were even finished, we lost Alice Wong. As a leader, Alice constantly reminded us that every disabled person is a disabled oracle...
To truly honor all who came before, all who are still here, and all who will come after us, we must always be engaging with and practicing these principles of Disability Justice."
