these menorahs were sculpted byyshschwartz on unceded lisjan (ohlone) territory, also known as berkeley, california.
each menorah is made by hand and may vary slightly from what is pictured. baruch hashem for the beauty of imperfection + variation!
a note fromysh: "i grew up without much connection to jewish ritual or community. the only piece of jewish ritual i practiced growing up was lighting the menorah and playing dreidel with my siblings - the one somatic practice i had to connect me to judaism. but now i have so many more practices! so many melodies and prayers and movements. now i get to be in the embodied practice of sculpting these beautiful menorahs that can carry us into the holy darkness. it is truly such a pleasure and i hope you feel connected to a piece of this pleasure with every candle you light."
