This deck is a mirror and a reflection of our own unique awareness. It is a calling to the many selves that live in each of us, that are already connected to everything, that are speaking to all the animate life everywhere. Dirt Gems is a concentrated channel, a way to speak with your allies, the plants, the heroes of our world. Combining the elements, weather systems, alchemy, and energetic signatures, we have created a system for you to call out, to listen and to be answered.
Dirt Gems is a Botanical Oracle Deck & Guidebook made by Chelsea Iris Granger and Anne Louise Burdett. The deck contains 65 original color paintings, including energetics and symbolism around each plant, with an accompanying 160 page guidebook with detailed descriptions of each card and its meaning.
Anne Louise Burdett is a medicinal herb farmer, sex educator, sexual health and trauma clinician and counselor, and dancer. She writes curriculum, makes art and is wildly in love with the ocean. She has been cultivating her relationship with plants for 20+ years, and believes wholeheartedly in being true to oneself, acting from desire, and in individual wellness being essentially and always tied to collective wellness.
Chelsea Granger is an artist and illustrator. She is a longtime member of the artists collective The Royal Frog Ballet as well as a collaborative project with Thyme Herbal, making medicine posters and zines. Her art/projects are of the everyday, inspired by the overlap of earth/spirit dimensions, and woods as church. She is interested in painting as medicine, painting as a portal, painting as a spell. She sees her art as a way to ‘sing up’ life, and push against death-phobia in hopes that her art can act as a doorway to conversations about death and grief.
